The president of the UA Badminton Club informed us of a tournament coming up: The Arizona Badminton Club is holding its semi-annual SmashBash at a brand new location: The new Arizona Badminton Center, Arizona’s fist dedicated badminton facility. The event will be held on September 8th and 9th 2012. It will be approximately 1 hour and 45 mins away from the UofA Campus.

The format will be best of 3 games to 21, rally, with a consolation bracket (guaranteed at least 2 games per category). The following categories will be contested:

JV Girls (<18yo)

Varsity Girls (<18yo)

Open Men’s Doubles

Open Women’s Doubles

Sunday 9/9

Open Mixed Doubles

Senior Women’s Doubles (combined age at least 90)
